More than a cup of sugar. Birth support for where you are.
Women from the community have been coming together, supporting and encouraging each other in their birthing time for generations.
People choose a doula for many reasons. There’s the evidence that shows Doulas help facilitate a shorter labor, fewer interventions, less likelihood of a Cesarean.(1) But there’s also something more. Something every birthing family deserves—to feel involved, to feel confident, to feel connected to the experience, both as a mother and a partner. Ultimately to come out on the other side with a positive, beautiful view of your family’s birth experience.
A doula cannot predict the outcome of your birth or ensure that everything goes exactly as you plan. Birth is unpredictable. ToryAnna can help you Feel prepared, find your voice and know that you made the best decisions for you and your family.
Two prenatal visits in your home. These are typically 60-90 minutes where we discuss your desires for your birth experience and possible interventions, practice comfort measures, review or create your birth plan, share helpful resources.

I am a DONA-trained birth doula convinced that your body can do amazing things! While pregnant with our daughter, life brought my family from Texas to Colorado Springs. Change is challenging, but strengthening. There are things you learn as you have experiences, and birth was no different. Having a passion for taking the fear and the negative talk away from the conversation of pregnancy and birth led me to become a doula. At the same time, because of my own home birth experience, I now feel especially connected to the idea of lifting up and guiding the partner into confident support of their loved one.
Birth is about your family, your choices and the way you can feel connected to each other and the process. There is not a one-size-fits-all approach to birth. I will non-judgmentally support the decisions you make that are right for your family. I want to be a gentle breeze encouraging and empowering you to make your own choices and enjoy this life-changing moment in your lives.
