Hi.

Welcome to the neighborhood! Women from communities have been coming together, supporting and encouraging each other in their birthing time for generations. Let's keep up the good work!

  • Why a Doula?

People choose a doula for a variety of reasons. There’s evidence that shows doulas help facilitate a shorter labor, fewer interventions, and lessen the likelihood for a Cesarean. And that’s just to name a few of the positive affects during the birthing experience.
  • But there’s also something more, something every birthing family deserves—to feel involved, to feel confident, to feel connected to the experience, both as a mother and a partner. Ultimately, to come out on the other side with a positive, beautiful view of your birth experience.

You.can.

Birth is about your family, your choices and the way you can feel most connected to each other and the process. There is not a one-size-fits-all approach to birth. I will non-judgmentally support the decisions you decide are right for you.

My Goal I want to be a gentle breeze encouraging and empowering you to make your own choices and enjoy this life-changing moment in your lives.
  • $500 Birth Doula Package

    Includes support:

  • SHOW ME
Before Birth
  • Two prenatal visits in your home. These are typically 60-90 minutes where we discuss your desires for your birth experience, possible scenarios and interventions, practice comfort measures, review or create your birth plan, and share helpful resources.
  • Text and email support.
  • On call 24/7 for your birth from 38 weeks until your baby is born.
During your Birthing Time
  • Continuous emotional and physical support for you and your partner either at home or in the chosen birthing place from the time we decide you need me until 1-2 hours after baby is born
  • Communication support, helping you feel confident in your voice as you and your caregivers work together during your birth time.
  • Respect for your decisions even if they detour from previously expressed desires
After Birth
  • One postpartum visit within two weeks of your birth to review your birth experience and offer support, resources and encouragement in breastfeeding, baby wearing, and other topics that may have come up with this new addition to your family.

Who,.me?

I'm ToryAnna Neal. I'm a DONA-trained birth doula convinced that your body can do amazing things! While pregnant with our daughter, life brought us from Texas to Colorado Springs. Change is challenging, but strengthening. There are things you learn as you have experiences, and birth was no different. It led me to become a doula.

  • Oh, the Stories!

From the moment you announce you're pregnant, everyone has an neighbor's sister's second cousin's Aunt who ate some bad fish one time and had an emergency cesarean. Cautionary tales from "well-wishers" abound. Let it not go on, my friends!

I'm passionate about removing fear and negative talk from conversations surrounding pregnancy and birth. Pregnancy is not an illness.
  • At the same time, because of my own home birth experience, I feel especially connected to the idea of lifting up and guiding partners into the best support of their loved ones. I've come to find that for men especially, birth is not intuitive. The extra boost of a doula can give them the calmness needed to confidently support and be wholly present for the birth experience.
